Is CodersAgent free to use? +

Yes, completely free for businesses looking for agencies. We earn revenue through featured agency listings, lead forwarding fees charged to agencies (not clients), and affiliate commissions on tool recommendations.
Who runs CodersAgent? +

CodersAgent is operated by a sole proprietor. We are an independent directory — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or owned by any agency or tool provider listed on the site.
How do you make money? +

We earn through: (1) Featured listings — agencies pay to appear highlighted. (2) Lead fees — agencies pay when they receive qualified leads. (3) Affiliate commissions — tool providers pay us a commission when you sign up through our link. None of these relationships influence our matching algorithm or editorial rankings.
Are you affiliated with the agencies listed? +

No. Agency listings are factual directory entries, like a phone book. We do not represent, partner with, or guarantee the work of any listed agency. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

How do I find the right agency? +

We recommend using our 30-question Matching Quiz at /quiz. It scores your project complexity, budget, working style, and risk tolerance, then ranks agencies by match percentage. Alternatively, use the directory filters at /agencies.
How long does it take to get matched? +

Our algorithm matches you instantly on the quiz results page. After you submit a quote request, matched agencies typically respond within 24–48 hours.
How many agencies can I contact at once? +

As many as you like through the Get Quotes form. We recommend sending to 3–5 agencies for the best balance of options and manageability.
Can I compare agencies side by side? +

Yes. Select up to 3 agencies using the "Compare" button on any agency card, then click "Compare Now" in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
Do you verify agency quality? +

We verify that agencies exist and have a genuine web presence. We award a Verified badge to agencies that have provided additional documentation. We do not guarantee quality, delivery, or suitability — always do your own due diligence and check references.
What if an agency I contacted is unresponsive? +

Contact us at hello@codersagent.com. We take unresponsive listings seriously and may suspend agencies with repeated complaints.
Is there a minimum project size? +

No. Our directory includes agencies working on projects from under $5,000 to over $1 million. Use the budget filter to find agencies suitable for your size.
Do you handle contracts or payments? +

No. We only facilitate the introduction. All contract, payment, IP, and delivery terms are between you and the agency directly. We strongly recommend an NDA and written contract before sharing sensitive information.

How does the matching quiz work? +

The quiz asks 30 questions across 5 categories: your project, your business, budget and timeline, working style, and risk tolerance. Each answer contributes to 5 dimension scores: complexity, budget, urgency, collaboration, and openness to offshore. Agencies are scored against your profile and ranked by match percentage.
Is the quiz really free? +

Yes, completely free. No account, no credit card, no catch.
What are the 6 personality types? +

The quiz assigns you one of: The Decisive Executor, The Careful Planner, The Startup Hustler, The Enterprise Buyer, The First-Timer, or The Experienced Repeater. Each type maps to agencies with compatible communication styles, processes, and experience levels.
Can I retake the quiz? +

Yes, as many times as you like at /quiz.
How accurate is the matching? +

The matching is based on publicly available agency data and your self-reported answers. It is a strong starting point, not a guarantee of fit. We recommend also reading agency profiles and speaking to references.

For Agencies

How do I list my agency? +

Submit your listing at /submit. It enters a pending queue and is reviewed before going live.
How long does approval take? +

We aim to review listings within 3–5 business days.
How do I claim an existing listing? +

If we pre-populated your listing from public information, click "Claim this listing" on your profile page and follow the verification steps.
How do leads work? +

When a business selects your agency for a quote, we forward their project brief to your registered email. You respond directly. There is no platform messaging — it is a direct introduction.
Can I update my profile after it is live? +

Yes. Claim your profile to gain edit access, or contact us at hello@codersagent.com.
What is a featured listing? +

Featured agencies appear at the top of directory listings and on the homepage. Contact us for featured listing pricing.
Can I pay to appear first in quiz results? +

No. Quiz results are determined entirely by the algorithm matching your profile to the user's quiz answers. Payment does not influence quiz placement.

Tools Directory

Are the tool listings paid placements? +

Some tools have "Sponsored" or "Featured" badges — these are paid placements. Unsponsored listings are editorial. The "Try" button on some tools is an affiliate link — disclosed on the page and at /affiliates.
What does the affiliate link mean? +

If you click a "Try" button that is an affiliate link and sign up, we may earn a commission from the tool provider. This costs you nothing extra. We only list tools we believe are genuinely useful.
How do I get my tool listed? +

Contact us at hello@codersagent.com with your tool name, category, and description.
Can I compare tools side by side? +

Yes. Click "Compare" on up to 3 tool cards, then click "Compare Tools" in the bar.

Pricing & Leads

How much does it cost to get quotes? +

Free for businesses. Always.
Do agencies pay for leads? +

Yes. Active agencies pay a fee when they receive a qualified lead through our platform. This is disclosed in our How It Works page.
What is a qualified lead? +

A lead where the business has: filled in genuine contact details, provided a project description, consented to data forwarding, and their budget is within the agency's range.
Can agencies pay to get more leads? +

Not directly. Lead volume depends on the quality of the agency's profile, their match score against user queries, and verified reviews.

Data & Privacy

Who can see my project details? +

Only the agencies you explicitly select for a quote request, and the CodersAgent administrator (for quality control). We do not share data with advertisers or third parties for marketing.
Do you sell my data? +

No. We never sell personal data.
What data do you collect? +

When you submit a quote: name, email, company, phone, project description, budget, and consent record. When you visit the site: page paths, country (from IP), and an anonymised/hashed IP. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I request deletion of my data? +

Email privacy@codersagent.com with your name and email address. We will delete your data within 30 days (or the timeframe required by your local regulation).
What is your cookie policy? +

We use only essential cookies by default. Analytics cookies are only set after your consent. See /cookie-policy for full details.
What privacy regulations do you comply with? +

GDPR (EU/EEA), UK GDPR, LGPD (Brazil), PIPEDA (Canada), CCPA (California), DPDP Act (India), PIPA (South Korea), Privacy Act (Australia), and PDPA (Singapore), among others. Your rights are displayed based on your detected country.
Are IP addresses stored? +

Never in plain form. We hash all IP addresses using a one-way algorithm before storing, meaning the raw IP cannot be recovered. This is GDPR-compliant by design.
How long is my data kept? +

Lead data: 2 years. Consent logs: 5 years (legal requirement). Analytics: 13 months. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
