CodeGeeX

CodeGeeX is an open-source multilingual AI code generation model and coding assistant, originally developed at Tsinghua University and now maintained by Zhipu AI. It provides code completion, generation from natural-language comments, code translation between programming languages, and a chat interface, available as extensions for VS Code, IntelliJ-based IDEs, and other editors. Positioned as an open, self-hostable alternative to closed AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, with particular strength in multilingual code (including strong support for Chinese-language prompts and comments).
