Livegrep is an open-source, fast regex-based code search tool for searching across large codebases, built to return results across millions of lines of code in well under a second.
It indexes a codebase into an in-memory structure optimized for regex search specifically (not just literal string matching), making it well suited to large monorepos where a standard grep or IDE search becomes too slow to be usable interactively.
Used by engineering teams with large codebases running their own internal code-search service, similar in spirit to Sourcegraph but lighter-weight and regex-focused rather than a full code-intelligence platform.
