XMTP
Open source Open SourceOpen, decentralised messaging protocol for wallet-to-wallet communication.
About XMTP
XMTP (Extensible Message Transport Protocol) is an open, decentralized messaging protocol for wallet-to-wallet communication in web3 applications.
Unlike centralized chat APIs, XMTP messages are end-to-end encrypted and addressed to Ethereum wallet addresses rather than phone numbers or emails, letting any XMTP-enabled app read a user's message history regardless of which app sent it.
Used by wallets and dapps needing built-in messaging (transaction requests, notifications, direct wallet-to-wallet chat) without building their own encrypted messaging layer from scratch. Client SDKs are available for JavaScript, React Native, Swift, Kotlin, and Rust.
